What is it about the month of December and Christmas time that makes you say “Bah! Humbug?” Is it really just you, or is it something else? 10 Reasons Why You Might Be A Scrooge!

  1. You’re Poor. This would be my number one pick at why most people might be a scrooge during Christmas time. During a time of giving, it’s not much fun to be the one that isn’t financially able to give. P.S. You can change that HERE. Read the rest of this entry »

He Took Four Months Off!

December 19th, 2012

Take some time offI recently received a phone call from a friend of mine, who is also currently involved in the same opportunity as I am. His family had recently been through a rough time. Someone that was very dear to them had passed away unexpectedly.

Whenever something like that happens, it’s easy to be derailed for a little while. Suddenly, most things in the world seem very insignificant. Compared to family, nothing is more important. I’ve experienced moments in my life which had a similar effect.

So what does my friend do? He takes four months off!

When was the last time you have heard of anyone being able to do that, and still have a home, pay the bills, buy groceries and support their family?

Real-Time Income Disclosure

December 18th, 2012

Real-Time Income DisclosureIf you can, take just a second and think back to the day when you first started looking into a home based business. As you were scrolling through those websites, were you aware that each one of those opportunities are required to post some sort of income disclosure?

If you’ve never seen anything of the such, you might be wondering what an income disclosure actually is and why it’s required.

What is an income disclosure?

This world has become a world of requirements and warnings. With so many people being “Sue Happy” these days, companies are obliged to warn their customers about unexpected events that might occur should they get involved. Ten years ago, who would have thought about becoming rich from burning yourself with a cup of hot cocoa? But it’s happened more than once!

What Can Be Done To Prevent Future School Shootings?

December 14th, 2012

School Shootings in ConnecticutFirst off, everyone effected in any way by the horrific school shootings in Connecticut today will be included in my prayers. There isn’t a decent soul in this country that isn’t grieving for those innocent lives that were lost today.

I have a mild glimpse of the emotions going through every citizen and child involved in that horrible crime. A few years ago, while living in Payson Arizona, I received a call from a friend who informed me that my children’s school was in lock down. Someone on school grounds had seen a man wearing a trench coat, carrying a gun, walking around the school’s premises.

Advertise Your Business on the Radio

December 13th, 2012

Advertise your business on the radioI’m not sure how you work your home based business, but as for me, sometimes I get a little case of tunnel vision when it comes to marketing. Promoting my business on the internet just seem so much easier than other forms of advertising, such as buying a print media ad or radio media buying.

One thing I’ve learned in my time as an internet marketer, is when it comes to marketing, diversification is key. If you have multiple forms of advertising in place, when one fizzles out, the others can keep your business going until it recovers or is replaced.

Lead poverty will sign the death certificate of any home based business. If you don’t have leads to either talk to, text or email, your business is dead in the water. Leads are the lifeblood of your business.

With that said, quick story about advertising on the radio. I am a complete sucker when it comes to infomercials. But only when the product being promoted is something that interests me, or that I’ve been thinking about. If you’ve ever seen a picture of me, like the one below in my author bio, I have chosen to shave my head. For one, I’m sexier that way, and two, I was thinning on top. So when I heard the “Avacore” commercials on the radio a few years back, I was sold.

All The Ladies are Envious

December 13th, 2012

The Ladies are EnviousOne of my biggest worries lately is that I may not be working as much as I should be. I’ve been spending a lot of time, running around town, attending my children’s events, coaching basketball, and doing everything else, other than working. On average, I probably get a solid two to four hours of focused work accomplished in a day. I mean, I can piece in thirty minutes here or there, but I’m not very productive during those times.

Today, I attended my daughters Christmas program. After dropping our kids off at school, just as we do every morning, we decided to drive over the the auditorium in order to get a good seat. We had about 35 minutes to kill before the show started, and so the funnest thing to do, of course, is to check out all the interesting people pouring in. As they do, I start noticing how many ladies there were in the room.
