Where’s the Oompa Loompa’s and the VDI Monitoring in Network Marketing?

March 26th, 2013

vdi monitoringSeveral years ago, I had a job. I know…you’re shocked, right? Heck, I even have a hard time believing myself when I say things like that. But yeah, I once worked for a popular domain registrar, which goes by the name of GoDaddy. It was there that I gained valuable experience in DNS and troubleshooting hosting issues, which I’ve used many times since.

I can’t say I know it all, but I know more than I knew before. And one of the things I learned there was their ability to maintain a controlled environment for their employees, an environment in which they could stay productive. With so many computers, and people working on those computers, it would seem to be a difficult task to keep them focused on their job, instead of browsing the internet all day.

Earn a 1200% return on your tax return, per year

March 25th, 2013

invest your tax return

The average tax return in 2012 was right around $3,000, and I’m thinking the average for 2013 will be pretty close to the same, if not more. While the typical tax return will probably be spent on big screen TV’s and down payments for vehicles, the non-typical know that they can use that tax return to earn them more money.

If you’re one of those non-typical minds, you probably already have an idea of what you’d like to do with your return. The options are almost endless. Should you invest that money in a traditional business, put it away for a rainy day, invest in the stock market or invest it into your current business?

Decisions, decisions.

Practical Savings for Normal People

March 20th, 2013

SavingsOne of the hardest things is wanting to save but not being sure about how to go about it. It feels like all of the books about money and investing are written for people whose jobs pay them six figures. They all say things like “you can totally buy that brand new $100 sweater and save for a Maserati! We’ll show you how!” Where is all the advice for people whose budgets and needs are more about groceries and mortgage payments?

Right Here.

Step One: Open a savings account at your bank and link it to your checking account. You don’t need anything fancy right now; a basic account will do—especially if you can’t afford a hefty initial deposit. When you open the account, check the fees to make sure you don’t get dinged for a low balance. You can usually avoid these by setting up direct deposit or finding a free checking option.

Invoice Software

March 20th, 2013

Invoice SoftwareI might be a bit biased, but there’s no better way to make a living than by owning your own business. Having complete control over your income and your schedule is second to none. And as you can probably tell from the content on my site, I’ve been an entrepreneur for nearly a decade, and although it has been a roller coaster ride, I’ve loved every minute of it.

In my lifetime, I’ve owned and operated several different types of businesses. The first of those businesses was a carpet cleaning gig which I operated while still in high school. The next business venture didn’t happen until 2005, and was a Glass company. We’ve also owned a wedding planning business, an internet marketing/web design company and are currently operating an internet marketing company.

Non-Network Marketing Home Business Work From Home Ideas

March 12th, 2013

work from homeIn all my vast experience as an entrepreneur, I definitely have not “done it all.” There are still a plethora of ideas stored inside a secret folder in my head which, one day, I’ll explore. But as of right now, a common phrase keeps coming to mind, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!” Meaning, the home business I’m in is working, and working well….why change it.

And for that reason, I haven’t branched out a whole lot to other ventures. I try not to be too A.D.D. when it comes to business, because what I’ve noticed, is the more I try to do, the less I really get accomplished. So, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

However, for those of you who still want to work from home, yet have no desire to build a team, or anything similar, there are other ways, through the internet, to make a buck or two.

Are you cool enough to be a school volunteer P.E. teacher?

March 7th, 2013

school volunteer P.E. coachMy oldest daughter entered into the school systems as a kindergartner back in 2006. Since 2005, I escaped from my job and started a home based business. Ever since that day, I’ve had the flexibility to volunteer in all of my children’s classes in many different capacities. This year, I’m a school volunteer P.E. teacher….and I’m loving it!

Is there any better way to spend your time than with a bunch of screaming, happy third graders?

I think not….most of the time! Occasionally, there are those moments where I wonder if I have any control of them at all.
