Is it Time for a Career Change?

January 8th, 2013 | No Comments |

Career ChangeMaking a career change can sometimes feel like jumping from one side of the Grand Canyon to the other. Leaving the familiar, or the things you’re in the habit of doing every day, can be a little uncomfortable, especially if you’ve been doing those things for a long period of time.

Those of you who have recently gone through a career change know what I’m talking about. It can be tough, but we have to be honest with ourselves, it would probably be tougher having to endure a lifetime without the career change!

So instead of submitting ourselves to a lifetime of misery, doing something that brings absolutely zero satisfaction, changing careers is the only course of action to take.

But when most people think of a career change, they’re thinking of changing from one job to the next. I recently had a conversation with a neighbor of mine who is sick and tired of his current career as a teacher. Part of his desire for change is his current income and long term earning potential. So naturally, he’s looking into his career change options, and this is a prime example. He’s considering going back to school to become a nurse. So his outlook on changing careers involves jumping from one job into another.

My primary business is with the Empower Network and is my main focus. But if you’ve ever wanted to throw $10 bucks a month and something just to see what happens, this is it! A La Carte style! It’s a way to invest in a great idea from the beginning and profit from it later. And from what I’ve seen, the app should be pretty great.

Ferris Bueller’s Day Off 2012 Quote of the Year

January 2nd, 2013 | Comments Off on Ferris Bueller’s Day Off 2012 Quote of the Year |

Ferris Bueller's Day OffOn New Year’s Eve, in between sweating to death while playing “Just Dance 3” and stuffing my face with pizza, I managed to see a commercial or two. One of the commercials was a preview for upcoming movies scheduled to be played on the network. One of the previews was a brief snippet from the all too popular movie, “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.” One of my all time favorites, but the way.

Ferris Bueller’s Day Off 2012 Quote of the Year:

“Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.”

Now I’m not real sure, but the fact that it was New Year’s Eve could have been the reason this phrase stuck out to me the most. Life DOES move by really fast and if you’re not careful, you’ll miss a lot of it, if not the entire thing.

In fact, I took this entire holiday season off from any kind of work. Starting on Friday, December 21st, through January 1st, 2013, I was invisible to everyone who wasn’t with me in the flesh.

He Took Four Months Off!

December 19th, 2012 | Comments Off on He Took Four Months Off! |

Take some time offI recently received a phone call from a friend of mine, who is also currently involved in the same opportunity as I am. His family had recently been through a rough time. Someone that was very dear to them had passed away unexpectedly.

Whenever something like that happens, it’s easy to be derailed for a little while. Suddenly, most things in the world seem very insignificant. Compared to family, nothing is more important. I’ve experienced moments in my life which had a similar effect.

So what does my friend do? He takes four months off!

When was the last time you have heard of anyone being able to do that, and still have a home, pay the bills, buy groceries and support their family?

Real-Time Income Disclosure

December 18th, 2012 | Comments Off on Real-Time Income Disclosure |

Real-Time Income DisclosureIf you can, take just a second and think back to the day when you first started looking into a home based business. As you were scrolling through those websites, were you aware that each one of those opportunities are required to post some sort of income disclosure?

If you’ve never seen anything of the such, you might be wondering what an income disclosure actually is and why it’s required.

What is an income disclosure?

This world has become a world of requirements and warnings. With so many people being “Sue Happy” these days, companies are obliged to warn their customers about unexpected events that might occur should they get involved. Ten years ago, who would have thought about becoming rich from burning yourself with a cup of hot cocoa? But it’s happened more than once!
