Play More!

May 30th, 2009

I have to apologize to my readers this week. I have literally had no time to blog and my excuse, I have been playing too much! Out of the last 5 work days, I have put in a total of 10-15 hours of work. The rest of the time, I have been out with my family. It feels like I have been having a Memorial Day Weekend for the entire last week.

The crazy thing is, 3 hours a day is what I usually work. Blogging is extra and a way for me to share my knowledge of Entrepreneurship and Personal Development with those who are looking to learn and improve. As we all know, the teacher ALWAYS learns more than the student. If you have never had a blog before, try it for a month. Start a blog about your desired topic and just throw your thoughts onto it. You will be surprised at how much you grow!

The point I would like to make is to PLAY MORE! What I mean by that is just get out with your kids and throw the Frisbee or play catch. Ride your bikes around the block or down the street. Help your daughter set up her Barbie house. Have a pillow fight, play with your dog, go on a hike, take your family fishing or just play the Wii. These are a few of the things we did this week and have had a blast the entire time. Our next activity is to buy a canoe and explore all the lakes we have in the Payson area, which, will take some time. There are a ton. This summer we have a 3 week trip planned for Hawaii, a weekend in Colorado, and a trip to Disney Land.

Most of the things we do are done in the middle of the week while mostly everyone else is at work. I love what I do. I teach people how to live my life, how to have more than enough time to play and how to teach others how to do the same thing. If you ever come across something that says home based business opportunities are not for real, understand that you are reading something that a faithful lifetime employee probably wrote or someone that quit before they reached their dream lifestyle.

Find the time to PLAY MORE! Whether you are a business owner or an employee, you will be happier, more successful and will live longer if you have more fun.

If you’d like to make money while you play, like me, fill out the form after this post and contact me right away. It’s all about lifestyle!

Sizzling Summer Sales Contest

May 26th, 2009

Starting on the 15th of May, this business opportunity is holding a summer sales contest ending September of this year. The Summer months are going to be on fire! The sales are going to be through the roof and as a direct result, so is income!

So here’s how it works, you of course must be part of this opportunity. For more information on how to do that, fill out any of the contact forms on the website and request an interview. I will contact you for a brief conversation. Once an associate, there are two different ways to win. Prizes are awarded to the top seven producers in sales and also the top seven producers in income. Here are the prizes:

bmw1

Top 7 Income Earner Grand Prize: BMW Z4 Roadster

sony_bravia-xbp

Top 7 Beyond Freedom Producer Grand Prize: Sony Bravia XBR 52″ LCD TV

Those who place in positions 2 – 7 receive the same prize in each category. Here they are:

macbook-pro

MacBook Pro
mac

MacBook Air

canon-vixia-hf-s10

Canon Vixia HF S10 Digital Camcorder
canon_sd990is

Canon SD990 IS Digital Camera
ipod_touch

Apple 32GB iPod Touch
photo_frame

Sony 9″ Digital Photo Frame DPF V900

So we have some pretty cool prizes lined out for the top producers in each category. The prizes will be given out at a conference being held in Puerto Rico in the month of October and you must be present in Puerto Rico to receive an award.

Now I know the prizes seem enticing enough right? Well, imagine the financial reward gained from winning one of these prizes. What is the income of the grand prize winners going to look like when it’s all said and done? Now I am just guessing here, but I imagine the top income earner would be somewhere in the $200k-$300k range. Winning the BMW is just a perk when you are pulling in that kind of cash.

Now let me tell you this, a person who isn’t even involved in this contest has just as much potential to win as anybody, including myself, who has been in this business for years. It’s an equal playing field. So what do you say? Want in?

Relocating to Payson Arizona!

February 24th, 2009

az_mapThis is a quick post to let everyone know publicly that I have been slacking off the last few days! I have a good excuse even though I am not a big fan of excuses. There is always a way, if you think about it, to prevent the need for an excuse. But I failed to plan and thus I planned to fail at successfully keeping my blogging up for the last few days.

But we are officially moved to Payson Arizona and are loving it here! It is a little warmer with a lot less snow here and still with the small town feel that we love so much. We wanted to be closer to Phoenix and are just an hour away here instead of the grueling 3 hour drive we had before. We are huge on family and we have a lot of that in the valley!

So once again, I apologize for the lack of blogging and things are now returning to normal. At least here on this blog. I still have crap all over the place to organize still in boxes. You’ve gotta love moving! The cool thing is….I was able to work this business less than an hour a day over the past week and have still make 5k! Lovin’ it!

The Foundation for a Better Life

February 14th, 2009

persistenceI was up late last night watching some college basketball, ASU vs Oregon if you were wondering. Usually I just mute the TV during commercials as they are usually way too loud and most of the time are very annoying! I spaced out during this particular commercial break and saw a commercial that was very inspirational. It had a great message to it. There was no “Buy this now!” or ” We are the best in the world!” It was just a good and inspirational message.

It started out showing a couple sitting at a concert. Well, they suddenly realized he wasn’t with them and they both frantically started looking around a bit until they heard the piano playing on stage only to see their son playing a childhood song. Well, the guy they all came to watch came out on stage, snuck up behind the boy and whispered “Keep Playing” in his ear. He then reached around him a did his thing around the little boys playing and it turned out great. They both finished and then took a bow to the applauding audience.

It ended with the word across the screen, INSPIRATION!

It was a commercial by “The Foundation for a Better Life.” This is definitely a site to check out. Watch a few of their videos and subscribe to their daily quotes. It’s a great find!

Is this English or Spanglish?

January 8th, 2009

This post really has nothing to do with Personal Development, Entrepreneuralism or starting a business but I had to post it. Let me tell you though, I love Mexican food! I would eat Mexican food for every meal of the day if I could cook worth a darn but usually, we go out to eat probably at least once a day. Most of the time it is for lunch and dinner. The day I took these photos we went out to eat at a Mexican place call Los Alibertos. It changed names from Los Filebertos not long ago but anyway, that is besides the point.

So the people that own this place can barely speak enough English to take your order right? Well, it sure shines through when you read their menu. I took a few pictures to show you what I mean. For any of your that live near the Mexican border will love this more than others I am sure. Now, I apologize for the lack of quality. It was snowing and I took these with my Cell.

So did you find the Spanglish words? Would you like “ships and soda” with your “Chiken” burrito? It’s even more fun saying those words rather than just reading them. You have to get into it with a Spanish accent!

Viva Los Alibertos!

Twitter

December 30th, 2008

twitterA few posts back I listed 7 tools I use to strengthen my marketing campaign and promised you a more in-depth explanation on each one. So here we go!

Number one on the list was Twitter. For those of you who don’t know what twitter is, it is a micro blogging platform. You know, to be honest, the first time I heard micro blogging, it was like a foreign language to me. What the heck is micro blogging?

Well, the easiest way to describe it: You know what blogging is. Blogging is writing posts like this one, and are kind of lengthy. Micro blogging is the same thing but with shorter posts of a just a few lines. Twitter, allows you to enter 140 characters packed full of useful information, links, etc. Okay, so how the heck is this information useful?

For me, I use twitter in two ways, to Give and to Get. The give is when I send out a tweet, or a micro post, that offers resources and links for my followers. The get is the exact reverse of giving useful information, instead you get useful information. Part of giving information is promoting your product, service, blog, business, etc. If what you offer is of value, you will benefit as will as your followers.

Here are some tools associated with Twitter that you can check out:

  1. TwitterFox – A Firefox plugin that allows you to tweet and receive tweets as you browse.
  2. Twitter grader – Used to find new people to follow, grades your account authority, and provides stats and useful info about your account.
  3. Tweetdeck – A free software that is very useful in organizing your followers and who you are following. You can also type in keywords you may be looking for and have a list of tweets and tweeters who are tweeting those keywords. Very cool!
  4. Tweetlater – Useful for sending automated and delayed tweets to your followers.

Twitter is a very addicting and powerful promoting and learning tool. I have found many uses for it and know you will too. Feel free to connect with me on twitter by clicking on the icon in the top right corner of this post. Also, for more information on how to use Twitter, you may also want to visit Twitip.com.

These are just a few of the tools I use and some of the reasons I enjoy twitter. I’d like to hear from you. What are some tools you use with Twitter and some ways you use twitter to promote, learn, or benefit from it?
