Have you ever felt like you’re running around like a chicken with its head cut off, where you felt like you had zero to little direction financially?
When I first joined the network marketing arena, the direct sales company I started off with was solid. And when I say solid, I was confident that the next ten years of my life were going to be spent working with that company. Things were going so well that I figured nothing could possible derail it.
It’s often said, that the only way to destroy something of that caliber, is to destroy it within. And that’s exactly what happened. It crumbled from the top down.
Since then, I have been jumping from one opportunity to the next, attempting to find a place that I could call home. Nothing seemed to fit the bill though. Even though these other opportunities brought in some income, they weren’t quite what I was looking for.
Running around like a chicken with its head cut off
Have you ever felt that way? Have you ever felt like you were wandering around, wondering what your financial future had in store, waiting for some inspiration and direction?
Or have you been stuck in a job, thinking that you’re going to be stuck there forever, making the same income, remaining stuck in a struggle?
Or you may be the one with an attention disorder, not being able to concentrate on one thing for long enough to make it successful. Maybe you just don’t have enough time in your busy schedule to do what you really want, or live how you really want.
I guess what I mean is, have you ever felt like your body was doing the actions but your head wasn’t involved, in any way, shape or form? Things were happening all around you but you had no say in the “how” or the “what?”
The Solution
To get rid of the feeling like you’re running around like a chicken with its head cut off, all you have to do is make a decision. Make a purpose driven, hardcore, risky yet lofty, big ol’ fat decision.
Once you do this, your head will return to its rightful place and you’ll feel like you’re the one in control again. Things will start to fall into place and you’ll gain more clarity. I promise you this.
A man without a goal is like a ship without a rudder. No matter how hard you try, without a goal, or purpose, you’re lost at sea. And as a man, unless we feel like we’re fulfilling out duty to provide the way we want to provide, then we feel lessened. At least I do.
I was one of those that were “lost at sea” for a few years, until I ran into a business that collided and meshed with my goals. Sure, income and success always adds a bit more to the clarity bit, but there’s nothing like knowing what you’re going to do for the next one, two or even ten years.
If things really don’t seem to be going your way, then you just haven’t completely taken a full grasp of the reins. The time is now. There’s no better time than today to take control and see what you’re made out of. Don’t wait until tomorrow, because tomorrow can turn into a very long time.
