It’s The NBA Playoff’s!

April 23rd, 2010

For those of you who are into sports, you all know that the NBA playoff’s are currently in progress. Things are heating up and getting intense as this season comes to an end, yet during the playoff’s, it seems things are finally getting started. Hopefully your team is one of the many that are still in the race for the championship. I know the Phoenix Suns made it and are doing well as they lead the series 2 – 1 over the Trail Blazers.

I absolutely love the playoff’s because of the pure intensity if it. Everybody comes to the court with all their hope and preparation, expecting to be the best. After 48 minutes of play, giving it all they have, knowing that they will be able to look up at the score board as the team who is victorious. A lifetime of practice and a season of competition comes to a head during a few series of games battling an opponent that has done the exact same thing.

It’s not so much the trophy at the end of the championship that matters the most or that they’ll remember for years after it’s over, it’s the victory. And the victory is the culmination of all that it took to get there…..composure, fortitude and determination are a few of the characteristics necessary. Every drop of sweat and blood was a test of willpower and strength along with all the drama and politics floating around the NBA. A victory, I could imagine, would be the season full of effort that paid off in the end.

I think at times we look at NBA athletes and think that they have it made. They’re making millions off of pure talent. They are set for life, just for being born. Sure, talent has a lot to do with it, just about as much as willpower and work does. They made it happen for themselves. They wanted it, so they went out and got it, and the team that shows the best composure and the most intensity during the playoff’s, is usually the one who is crowned champion.

So, we’ll see just how far the Suns go this year. Either way, I’m a die hard fan and with them ’til the end.

And you know what? We all deserve to live our lives as though we are in the playoff’s. The ones who show the most composure and intensity will usually be the ones who are victorious. A lifetime of preparation, sweat and vision has prepared us for today, right here, right now. We can chose to be effected and intimidated by the Kobe Bryants and the Lebron James’ of our future victory, or we can chose to be the Steve Nash, who takes control of the game and does it his way, not theirs.

Life is full of opponents and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Every time I defeat someone or something, I grow. I progress, just as I do when I lose to someone or something. Either way, I win, if I chose to learn from EVERY experience.

Victory is about being able to adjust on the fly and adapt as you go. It’s about seeing an opening and taking it. An opportunity that is missed will never present itself in that way again. It’s now or never and at times, we only have a split second to decide to be proactive, and to take that opportunity.

It’s playoff time for me! It’s time to get intense. It’s time to make things happen…..so watch closely. Things are coming in the near future that will take my team and I to the top.

I once heard a quote that said, “”The object of life’s journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting, ‘Holy #@$*, What a Ride!!!'” — Mavis Leyrer

I intend on being worn the heck out and full of victory as well, and the end isn’t even close. So it’s game time!

What a Loser!

November 2nd, 2009

abraham lincolnThis is a perfect example of one of the biggest Losers of all time! Many of you will know exactly who this is at a glance. Check out the amazing record of failures this guy had in his life compared to the amount if wins. It’s pretty shocking. I bet he was made fun of quite a bit by his peers and was told to give up on his dreams….

  • 1831 – Lost his job
  • 1832 – Defeated in run for Illinois State Legislature
  • 1833 – Failed in business
  • 1835 – Sweetheart died
  • 1836 – Had nervous breakdown
  • 1838 – Defeated in run for Illinois House Speaker
  • 1843 – Defeated in run for nomination for U.S. Congress
  • 1848 – Lost re-nomination
  • 1849 – Rejected for land officer position
  • 1854 – Defeated in run for U.S. Senate
  • 1856 – Defeated in run for nomination for Vice President
  • 1858 – Again defeated in run for U.S. Senate

How pathetic is this guy!? Well allow me to introduce you to Abraham Lincoln, elected President of the United States of America in 1860!

How many times was he defeated before he won? Count ’em! Whenever you hit a hard spot, don’t EVER think that you are special….or any different than anyone else who has chosen to go down their own road of success. Talk about a perfect example of persistence and willpower. You can accomplish ANYTHING you set your heart on. Celebrate your losses….because all they have done is put you that much closer to the wins!!

Kurt Warners Path To Success!

January 22nd, 2009

In a supermarket, Kurtis the stock boy, was busily working when a new voice came over the loud speaker asking for a carry out at register Four.

Kurtis was almost finished, and wanted to get some fresh air, and decided to answer the call. As he approached the check-out stand a distant smile caught his eye, the new check-out girl was beautiful. She seemed a little older than he, (maybe 26, and he was only 22) but her smile was irresistible and he fell in love instantly.

Later that day, after his shift was over, he waited by the punch clock hoping to see her just one more time before calling it a day. She came into the break room, smiled softly at him, and he fell speechless. She took her card and punched out and smiled once more before turning to leave. He waited until she was out of site and rushed to the shelf of time cards, he found hers…BRENDA.

He walked out of the store and spotted Brenda walking home. That would be his opportunity tomorrow. The next day, he waited outside as she left the supermarket, and offered her a ride home. He looked harmless enough, and she accepted. When he dropped her off, he asked if maybe he could see her again, outside of work. She graciously declined simply stating that it would be impossible.

He pressed and she explained she had two children and she couldn’t afford a baby-sitter, so he offered to pay for the baby-sitter. Reluctantly she accepted his offer for a date for the following Saturday. That Saturday night he arrived at her door only to have her tell him that she was unable to go with him. The baby-sitter had called and canceled. To which Kurtis simply said, “Well, lets take the kids with us.”

She tried to explain that taking the children was not an option, but again not taking no for an answer, he pressed. Finally, Brenda brought him inside to meet her children. She had an older daughter who was just as cute as a bug, Kurtis thought. Then Brenda brought out her son, in a wheelchair. He was born a paraplegic with Down syndrome.
Kurtis asked Brenda, “I still don’t understand why the kids can’t come with us?” Brenda was amazed. Most men would run away from a woman with two kids, especially if one had disabilities – just like her first husband and father of her children had done. Kurtis was not ordinary – – – he had a different mindset.

That evening Kurtis and Brenda loaded up the kids, went to dinner and the movies. When her son needed anything Kurtis would take care of him. When he needed to use the restroom, he picked him up out of his wheelchair, took him and brought him back. The kids loved Kurtis. At the end of the evening, Brenda knew this was the man she was going to marry and spend the rest of her life with.

A year later, they were married and Kurtis adopted both of her children. Since then they have added two more children to their loving home.

So what happened to Kurtis the stock boy and Brenda the check-out girl? Well, Mr. & Mrs. Kurt Warner now lives in Arizona.

Overlooked by the NFL draft, cut in training camp by the Green Bay Packers, and thwarted by a venomous spider bite when trying out for the Chicago Bears, Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kurt Warner’s path to victory hasn’t been an easy one. Yet despite setbacks, Warner persevered–whether stocking supermarket shelves or leading teams to the Super Bowl.

I just wanted to share this with you, because I feel that we all have the ability to achieve greatness, yet so many of us are not willing to take the extra step, go the extra mile, try new things, or even stick our neck out there towards unknown territory. Kurt Warner pursued his wife and career in a way that fashions a hero of perseverance.

True story!

“Keep Moving Forward” – Walt Disney

October 23rd, 2007

I am constantly inspired by individuals who have accomplished great things. I’m not only inspired by what they have done, but who they are and who they inspire others to become. People who are in the spotlight because of success, fame, or wealth have so much influence in those around them just by the smallest things they say. As a person, you will never know how the things you do today will effect those you come in contact with during your lifetime and even well after. The smallest groups of people have changed the world!

There is nothing I love more than assisting people in achieving their dreams. With this business opportunity I have the ability to do that. I speak with so many people who are missing out on their own lives and are looking for a way to take it back. Fathers are barely around enough to see their kids, mothers having to work too soon after the birth of her child, families living in poverty or struggling day to day just to make the bills, left with no hope for the future except for a small social security retirement plan. People are so supresses that their only hope of long and wealthy life is through the lottery retirement plan. I have the ability to assist people in realizing their own greatness through this business opportunity, because it has assisted me in realizing mine…and it is so much greater than working a 9 to 5!

What if, for a moment, you were a person with great influence for good, wealthy beyond measure, and capable of achieving anything you put your mind to? What would you do with your time? How would you spend your wealth? Who would you have an influence on? Who would you be?

Now, picture yourself working 9 to 5 for someone else or trapped in a business without the ability to inspire others. That, my friend, is not your potential! I believe that everyone is great, they just don’t realize it yet, and can change the world.

Walt Disney, Michael Jordan, Abraham Lincoln, were no different than you or I. They just had a vision, and acted on their vision.

“We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things, because we’re curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.” ~Walt Disney~

The Ownership of Money and Property!

February 24th, 2007

Ownership of Money and Property - Albert EinsteinThere is a lot more involved in becoming a success than just finding an opportunity or creating a good idea. Many people have great businesses ideas and still fail at what they are trying to create. One may have a lot of talent in sports, maybe more talent than any other person, and still lose. Why do some win and others watch? What do they do that everyone else doesn’t?

There may be too many factors that play into this scenario to list them all, but I would like to touch on a few.

Number one on the list should be desire. How bad do you want what you seek after. If that one principle is in place then everything else will fall into place along with it. If your desire is strong, constant, and personal then you will do whatever it takes to succeed. You will be willing to sacrifice all for your cause to win. Without a strong will and passionate desire, you have failed before you even get started.

Consistency is the key to success in any endeavor. If you do something long enough, often enough, with full intent, it will eventually work. That is if it doesn’t work right away. How long are you willing to work at something to make your dreams come true. Individuals devote entire lifetimes to this very thing. And they succeed. What is a worthy enough cause for you? What are you willing to devote all your efforts, actions, and thoughts to in order to have what you desire most?

Apply the Law of Attraction into your life. Concentrate on what you desire most and do what is necessary to bring it about. It is The Secret that has been around for hundreds, even thousands of years and is now available to the public as a tool. If you study it and apply it in a BIG way, you will be amazed. I teach this principle through an opportunity that has been founded upon the principles of Attraction.

The Ownership of Money and Property

“The ownership of money and property comes as a result of doing things in a certain way. Those who do things in this certain way, whether on purpose or accidentally, get rich.”  – Albert Einstein
