Travel, Vacations, and My Business

January 30th, 2009

Hawaii Cliff JumpingLast night I took Amy out for a group date type of dinner at one of the best Italian restaurants here in town. It is just a small place here in Pinetop where the owner won’t allow cell phones, casual dress or lateness. Small price to pay for great food I guess! Somehow we all started talking above places we had been to. The conversation started when someone asked a friend of mine about a home he is building down in Mexico somewhere on the Pacific Ocean. I can’t remember the actual town. He started to tell us how much we would love it down there and I tell you what, it sounded excellent. It reminded me of all the places we have been in the last few years. We have had a blast.

RomeSince we have been involved with this Home Based Business, which has only been just under 4 years, we have been to Puerto Rico, Cancun Mexico three times, Rome Italy, Sydney Australia, the Big Island of Hawaii, Orlando, Los Angeles, Atlanta and all over the USA on road trips. Prior to this home business, we had only been just across the border of Mexico and to a few other states while in the military. I had no idea of the life we were missing.

sydney-australia-085.jpgI will never forget the view the Blue Mountains just outside of Sydney as the clouds came rolling in and as the sun was just shining on the three sisters and no where else. It is almost magical when in a plane above the clouds and it seams as though the world has turned upside down as the sun in rising above the clouds. The water on the Big Island of Hawaii near Waikaloa is so crystal clear that you can see every fish, plant, or creature 50 ft below on the oceans floor as you just float on top. It is so deceiving that I nearly drowned trying to swim down to touch the bottom. The sunsets in Cancun were beyond this world and the architecture of Rome reminded me how small I am and how great Rome of old was. So many memories from all of these exotic locations!

You know the cool thing though is that we took our business with us. With a laptop and a phone we have made thousands and thousands of dollars while traveling to all of these places. So call them business trips or a vacations, we have had a blast and have made a ton of money doing it! We started on this path not long ago. What are you waiting for?

A Wage, 60 Hour Work Weeks, and Two Weeks of Paid Vacation!

January 12th, 2009

2009How many of you, starting out in 2009, are thinking that a wage, 60 hour work weeks and two weeks of paid vacation sounds like a pretty good deal? Let’s say that your wage would be around $80k US, or even $100k US! Does that sound pretty good? You get all of that for only 60 hours a week at work and let’s say they even throw in a company car for you so that you don’t even have to pay for your own commuting, which by the way is going to be an extra 2 hours round trip! So all together, you are spending only about 70 hours a week working and getting all the perks! What a deal right?! All I have to say to that is, “Good luck with that!”

Let me tell you of a business opportunity that can make you more money working less than a third of the time. Yes, you named it. It is a Home Based Business that has such a simple system designed so much leverage that it only requires around 20 hours a week, tops, to make a multiple 6 figure income. Oh, and by the way, you get to work from home, so take out the commuting. You get at least 6 months of paid vacation time, at least I do! I can take my business with me to Acapulco this March.

Oh, and I almost forgot about passive income, living your dreams, assisting others in doing the same, and being part of a community of self-made millionaires, all of whom are personally vested in your success.

If you would like to become nothing more in this world than a doctor, what would you do? You would go learn from other doctors at school, in the field, on the side and would do all that you could to surround yourself with other professionals in the medical field.

So, if you would like to work 20 hours a week or less, travel every other month, earn a multiple 6 to a 7 figure income, spend more time with the ones you love most, get your freedom back, take control of your financial future and ultimately achieve your dreams, what would you do?

The answer is simple! I have been and am doing that. Stop settling and start living your life! Contact me now!

10 Painful Situations Avoided by Being an Entrepreneur

December 17th, 2008

I had fun thinking of all the things that drove me nuts with having a job. It has been over 4 years since I was in a J.O.B and Just Over Broke. I was recently visiting my brother and we were having a conversation about him coming and visiting for New Years. He mentioned to me that his employer requires him to work for an entire year before he will be allowed to take a day off! So with all that said, I am going to rate that as the top situation avoided by being an Entrepreneur!

  1. Your Employer or Boss requiring you to work an entire year before taking one day off! You teach people how to treat you and then allow them to do so. If you allow this to happen, you are more wacko than I thought. Yes, I just called my brother a Wacko!
  2. “So…why is it that you feel you deserve a raise?” This line drove me nuts even though I only had the privilege of hearing it once a year at most. Basically, you are being asked how much you feel you are worth! My answer: “More than you can afford!” Anything less than that would be settling, tucking your tail between your legs, and taking it up the ‘you know what!’ Always trying to prove my worth was annoying.
  3. “Ummm…We’re thinking about laying you off!” Ouch! My Brother-in-law got this line just the other day. They actually offered him a voluntary lay-off instead, basically meaning, 6 weeks of pay and 6 months of benefits. Pathetic severance package huh!?
  4. “I want you here 5 minutes early every day, so that you can be ready to work at 8!” You know what I had to say to my boss, “As long as I am clocked in before 8 am, I am ON TIME!” Did that tick him off? Yes! Did he do anything about it? No!
  5. Ummm….I feel that my employees are not dressing professionally enough. Can you dress nicer?” My Mother-in-law got this one last week. The sad thing, it’s not directed towards her. It was for her co-worker who comes to work in an accounting office in a skirt, mountain boots, and flannel jacket! I wish I had a twitpic for you all to see that image!
  6. Getting told when to go to lunch everyday. This wouldn’t be so bad if lunch time was at the same time every day, but instead, you get a 15 minute notice!
  7. “Thanks for all you have done this year but, due to the economy, you won’t be getting a Christmas bonus this year! Instead, I am giving you all a ham!” This actually happened to me, but what he was really saying is, “My wife wants a BMW for Christmas so I took it out on you!”
  8. Getting hurt on the job, bleeding from a gash in your head, while your boss shops around trying to find the best deal on getting it fixed! I can understand always finding the best deal but come one! You have an employee bleeding to death while you try to save $50.00!
  9. The entire application process! What attributes or qualities do you have that would make you a good employee? “Uh, because I am a team player, I work well with others, and am a go-getter!” That was my most used answer. Say that and you are guaranteed to get hired everytime!
  10. Working your butt off for an entire year to get your face put up on the wall with the quotes, “Employee of the Year!” On top of that, working an entire year to get a pat on the back or a little recognition from your supervisor or boss, guys, it’s not worth it!

The truth of the matter is, I can’t stand to work with others if they are morons, I am only a good team player if I am playing on the team I choose and I am a go-getter for me and those I care for, not for a boss. I just want the bi-weekly check!

I think I could come up with at least 10 more on my own. What situations, phrases, or things have you been able to avoid or want to avoid by your choice to become an Entrepreneur?

Dreading Monday?

December 1st, 2008

Do some of these phrases sound familiar to you, similar to dreading Monday?

  • Mondays suck!
  • I hate Mondays!
  • I have to go back to work on Monday.
  • I had a blast this vacation but I’ve gotta get home to work on Monday.
  • My boss wouldn’t give me Monday off.

I have not only heard these but have used them several times in my life and I know many of you have as well. If we were to take a poll, I think I would be safe to say that Mondays would be voted the least favorite day of the week. Monday means “work” for most people. It means a loss of a little bit of your freedom. It means you’ve got to go back to that dead end job of yours and do what someone else wants you to do, and in return, you get a paycheck that barely pays your bills! I don’t blame most of the world for hating Monday. In most situations, Monday really does bite the bullet.

Stop dreading Monday

Now that we are done referring to a Monday that is most common and mostly hated and avoided, let’s turn out attention to a Monday that most love and look forward to. It is a Monday that is fun, free, profitable and YOURS, just like every other day of the week. Why should Monday be any different than Saturday or Friday? Who designated Monday as the dreaded day of going back to work and why are you content in accepting that?

Mondays as a Home Based Business Entrepreneur are, for the lack of a better word, AWESOME! Why are they awesome? I get to choose my own work schedule or just choose not to work Mondays. I am my own boss! I am in direct control of my income and how much or how little I earn is on me, not an employer. I don’t have to “Be back” anywhere to work because my business is completely mobile. Choose to spend the day with your kids, go to a matinee, extend that vacation or just run your Monday business as normal.

You are the creator of your Mondays and have always been! Monday can be a great day…a day to look forward to. Don’t spend the rest of your life, hating it!

3 Things I do that 97% of people don’t!

July 22nd, 2008

So what do I do that most of the world does not? There are many levels of living your life. Some people make a living and some people live their life and there is an extreme difference between the two. One way of living involves the word “settling” and the other does not. Both involve choice! Not choosing to live is still choosing not to live. I can tell you, there are a lot more than just 3 things I do that most people don’t, but let’s name a few.

#1. Instead of only having 2 weeks paid vacation, I have over 3 months. In doing what I do, it doesn’t matter where I am in the world. As long as I have my laptop, a phone, and the internet, I am generating income. How many people do you personally know that can be on a beach in Cancun or in Rome with their family and still make thousands? It is a lot easier than you think! Do you really know what it is like to not remember what day it is. Monday or Saturday? It’s really the same thing to me. I always miss the holidays that most people treat as gold because they usually get the day off. Everyday is a weekend and everyday is independence day for me. I celebrate my independence from bondage!

#2. I eat breakfast with my kids on Monday mornings, and Tuesday mornings, and Wednesday Mornings, and Thursday mornings etc,. I have the privilege, that most people will never have, to sit and eat a bowl of Lucky Charms with my kids while listening to the soundtrack of “Surf’s up!” I don’t wake up in the mornings thinking of what work I have to do. I wake in the mornings thinking of how to enjoy my day. My kids wake me up. They are my alarm clock!

#3. I work 3 hours a day, Monday through Thursday! I work a total of 20 hours a week…..MAX! How many people have that kind of a work schedule and still make a huge income. Now, when I say a huge income, I really mean that. I mean, how else would I fund my 6 vacations that I plan on taking this year! How can I afford that kind of a lifestyle. Some may think of me as wealthy and I feel I haven’t even scratched the surface yet! What would you do with the rest of your day after only having a 3 hour work day? Finally enjoy your life, maybe?

Now you have been introduced to the concept of the 3 hour work day and a few of the things that I will never take for granted again. I love this business and what it has provided for my family and I. Everyone deserves to have these things in their life as well. It’s as simple as a choice….a choice to stop settling and to start living!

Have joy in your posterity!

June 9th, 2008

When it comes to that time in your life and you are sitting on your death bed, what would your thoughts be? Would you be thinking, “Man, I wish I would have spent more time at the office, I sure had hoped to get the promotion, I should have done that business deal, I should have purchased that Hummer?” No! You would be crazy to think those sorts of things and if you did I would know that you had not experiences true joy in your life. The things that matter most in your life would be the main topic on your mind just before you leave this world and are the things that deserve the most attention and focus while we are still in this world. Your job, your work hours, your boss, your cars, all of these things are not what matters. Family, Posterity, and time with those you love the most and serve the most is what will always matter to you most!

Now, why, when most are alive and able to enjoy these things in their fullest do they not? Why are they are work, putting in 12 hour days for a wage when they could be spending time with their loved ones or doing things that truly create joy? Well, the answer to that is money! Some would blame money for their inability to experience joy. Money is not at all the issue….it is just your choice as to how you earn money. It’s not that your ability to make money is any different than anyone elses, it’s just the way you have chosen to make that money that is hindering your lifestyle.

If you have chosen to earn money by getting paid for your time, then there is a limit to what you can make. We all know that there are only 24 hours in a day. We all have those same 24 hours. Getting paid $10 an hour for 24 hours will only bring a profit of $240.00 a day. That is the maximum you could earn and we all know that one cannot work without sleep. At least, we shouldn’t though there are many people who do.

Now if you take those same 24 hours and leverage your time with the efforts of other people, then you have the true potential to earn a limitless amount of income. To give you an example, take a chiropractor. A chiropractor is paid for his time. He can only see so many patients a day no matter how many people are lined up outside his office. However, if he hires other chiropractors, he can, in a way, leverage his time for more profit through the efforts of others. Everybody who is anybody that has the freedom to enjoy the things that are most important and meaningful in life understands this concept. I work 4 hours a day. I do what I want when I want and still have the income to do it with. The same is opportunity is available to anyone. It’s just a choice of how you are paid!
